If you’ve always dreamed of living like a Gilmore Girl, then hold on to your plaid skirts because your chance is here.
Someone’s released a cookbook packed full of recipes inspired by the show, split into three collections: Luke’s Diner, Emily’s Friday Night Dinners, and Sookie’s Inn.
Kristi says that she’d been hoping someone would make a Gilmore cookbook since the first series aired back in 2000.
But no such book existed.
‘For fifteen years, I’ve been patiently waiting for a cookbook so I could try all the Gilmore foods,’ she says.
‘Summer 2015 is when my patience finally gave way. I decided to just figure them out myself.’
After spending ‘a few months noodling around in the kitchen’, Kristi launched a kickstarter to help fund the project.
‘This idea came to me last summer – a fun, creative project and a means to combine two of my favourite things: cooking, and life in an imaginary world called “Stars Hollow”,’ she says. She says that the book is for those who recognise that food is an omnipresent, ‘quirky character’ throughout the series.
